Philosophy + Entrepreneurship · UCLA '26 · Los Angeles
I am a first-generation UCLA graduate who builds communities, programs, and applications where providing value and doing good is the business model. Philosophy taught me to think clearly and to communicate; entrepreneurship taught me to ship and implement. I work alongside AI every day, and I bring judgment to it.
$100,000 in grants allocated · 30+ live events managed · 3.799 GPA · 70K+ followers across Daily Bruin channels · 4 associate degrees in a single year · 15 students in my first course
Who I am
I grew up in Ojai, California, and I'm the first in my family to finish a four-year degree. I learned early that very little arrives by default. You build it, or you go without. So I learned to build: relationships, programs, momentum, and lately, applications with AI.
The first time I really understood what community meant, I was playing cards with someone in hospice. No one there needed me to fix anything: they needed someone to show up.
The two words underneath all of it are community and dignity. I studied Philosophy because I wanted to think clearly; I minored in Entrepreneurship because I wanted to actually make the thing.
What I want next is to make things where social value is the model.
"No failure, only feedback."— how I keep moving
Find people, show up consistently, and build something that outlasts you.
Treat the work, and the people it touches, as ends, never just means.
Move fast and think carefully. Use the best tools. Ship something real.

Original for-credit seminar I designed & taught · UCLA · 2025–26
A 10-week undergraduate course I created and taught to 15 students: sport as public-health infrastructure. I cold-emailed faculty for weeks until a tenured nursing professor agreed to be my mentor. Students' final project proposed real accessibility improvements to LA courts.

Ran segmented cold-outreach campaigns, built prospect and customer databases, researched investors and briefed the founder ahead of pitches. Came in not knowing what GitHub was and left running the company knowledge base in Obsidian, using NotebookLM for research, and committing updates with Claude Code.
Student grant board · UCLA · 2026
Helped allocate $100,000 in real grants to nonprofits, with due diligence and site visits. As progress-report director, I built an outcome-tracking framework to hold funded organizations accountable.
Pauley Pavilion · Drake Stadium · LA Tennis Center · 2024–2026
Managed 30+ live events for thousands of attendees: setup, logistics, safety, guest experience, under real-time pressure. Named Rookie of the Year.

AI + judgment
The gap between what a model outputs and what's actually right. That gap is a skill.
Competitive pickleball
500+ hours a year. Best sport for flow state, community, and talking to strangers.

Good fits
This site is a working library, not a credential. It holds what I have read, what I think it means, and the places where the people who know most still disagree. Every figure on it carries a named source.
Set in EB Garamond and IBM Plex Mono. Assembled by hand and with AI assistance; the picks, positions and errors are mine. The Press and its works live in the luca-falvo repository, and the site carries whatever is committed there.
